Planet Fitness folks: the workaround is to change your location to a gym in CA and then you can cancel online bc CA has a law that that has to be an option. Worked for me 💜

Sounds like Planet Fitness… I did this bc they would NOT cancel my membership. I was asked to write a letter to explain my why and it was denied so I decided them by canceling the card.

It’s not just gyms. I’ve cancelled a card also in order to escape unauthorized charges. It can be exhausting trying to cancel a membership or subscription.

I did that back in the early 2010s-I had stuff stating it was terminated, but I kept getting charged-so I changed cards

I tried to cancel a membership and the 13 1/2 yr old that worked there shamed me for giving up (I was moving to a state w/out a crunch fitness) I left crying and paid for another 6 years. 😂

I’ve worked at multiple gyms. They make you come in to cancel it so they can talk you out of it. There honestly is only one or maybe 2 people who have authority to cancel it, so if they’re not around it can’t be done. If his account had late fees or he wasn’t up to date on his monthly bill he’s shit out of luck. I’ve known plenty of people, sadly, that have canceled cards due to this
