‘On Friday afternoon tried to organise a crew and everyone had something on or were already fishing on Saturday morning. Couldn’t find a crew a knew it was too good not to send it . Headed out Saturday morning knowing it was a beautiful forecast installed for the morning. Headed wide and set up the spread and caught a nice dolphin fish on the troll . I Was happy to land dinner and set up the spread an continued on my way . Soon after I head the drag screen from the Talica 50 37 kg outfit an knew it would be something solid . Clean the spread harnessed up and started to do battle. The fish didn’t jump on the bite so I wasn’t 100 percent sure it was a blue and within 20 minutes I had it to the boat thrashing its bill through the water. I was excited it was a blue a didn’t call it to be very big . Hahaha I thought it was going to be easy! After an hour and grabbing leader twice this fish had grown and I was struggling to wrangle it . My mate Jack called me to check in on the fight and offered a hand with driving and trying the land this blue. The boys drove over and Jacko swam aboard . Jack was awesome driving the boat and about half an hour later we had the blue Marlin boat side . By far my biggest Marlin and was an epic battle and one I will never forget . With a few pics , a tag and some high fives the blue was released.
