@bastianosis: It‘s always been fascinating to me how much you can get out of one instrument. There can be entire musical conversations, which coming all from one place, have a unique sound to them. This moment in Tchaikovskies violin concerto is a great example of this. The orchestra takes a simple accompanying role, giving some coulour, while the violin takes over the actual material all at once, blessing us with this exquisite moment of virtuosity.
