My son had a clear tub and I asked why is there the actual cribs in the nursery and they said it’s for the sicker baby’s the ones they don’t think they will go home they are trying to make them

In the UK babies are put in the plastic cots. Open cots are on older baby wards.

When your baby is in the plastic bin, that means that your baby is healthy and ready to go home thank God you have a clear bin instead of the ones with the bars because my baby didn’t get to come home

My hospital was opposite. The bassinet (“plastic bins”) were starters for the Nicu, and they graduated into the crib 24 hours before release. But every hospital is different.

those little plastic beds are standard in Europe, because they can be washed and disinfected properly and because you can see your baby when you're lying in bed without having to get up.
