We bird nested (house sharing) for a 14 months. It was a little long…probably shouldn’t have done it for more than 6-8 months. It helped with the transition. Our daughters were 5 and 7 at the time.

Mine were 3 and 4 when it happened I found that keeping it separate was better for ky kids, trying continue to spend time together for them was more confusing.

Get your own place. Kids are resilient and honestly transition better than you think. It’s more confusing to kids that mommy and daddy aren’t together but live in the same house.

i had a friend try the home sharing and it made it extremely uncomfortable foe her since he was still in the home and she was still having to clean up after him and she never felt like it was her home
