Add the garlic and cook for 30 seconds. 4. Stir in the tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, and beef broth. Scrape up any browned bits from the pan. 5. Pour the mixture over the beef in the slow cooker. Sprinkle in the thyme and chili flakes if using. 6. Cook on Low for 7–8 hours or High for 4–5 hours, until the beef is fall-apart tender. 7. If you’d like a thicker gravy, mix the cornstarch with water and stir it into the slow cooker during the last 20–30 minutes of cooking. Serving Suggestions Serve with: * Creamy mashed potatoes * Buttered rice * Egg noodles * Roasted vegetables * Crusty bread to soak up the gravy
