Think people outside of companies totally misinterpret DEI. You’ll always hire the brightest and best - but you want to ensure everyone has a level playing field. eg more time to interview if dyslexic

Merit outside of sports is not quantifiable. Hiring can be affected by such things as class the old boy network and getting friends and acquaintances jobs.
