@drsermedmezherexplains: “I Have Uncombable Hair Syndrome” #really Uncombable Hair Syndrome (UHS) is a rare genetic condition characterized by dry, frizzy, and straw-colored hair that grows in multiple directions and is extremely difficult to comb or manage. This unique hair texture is caused by structural abnormalities in the hair shaft, which appears triangular or heart-shaped in cross-section rather than round. The syndrome is typically associated with mutations in genes such as PADI3, TGM3, or TCHH, which are involved in hair shaft development. Diagnosis UHS usually becomes noticeable between the ages of 3 months and 12 years, when the child’s hair begins to grow. Parents or caregivers often observe that the hair is unusually coarse, stands out from the scalp, and resists styling. #hair #beauty #women
