NEVER cancel your cards. Silliest thing I heard. Keep them open and barely use them, banks will increase cash limit, which in turn boost your sscore because of low utilization

No way to reliably convert gift cards to cash without taking a haircut. Easier to just do it by the book use cards for monthly expenses and pay off regularly. Score will not be a problem

there's literally no drawback to checking account churn. keep one account at a major bank or credit union of your choice, cycle through the rewards of every other major bank that you have access to

I used to bank jump when I worked jobs I could change my own direct deposit. I stopped bc my current job requires paperwork to change direct deposits and I don’t want that department to hate me 💔
