@thetravelingred: This weekend I took my daughter and my niece to donate over 350 toys to our local children’s hospital. We collected these toys at our 5th annual Santa party a couple of weeks ago and thanks to many of you as well. This event that we call Charlie & Ava’s Magic of Giving is my favorite of the year because it teaches all the children invited the importance of giving back. This year my daughter was hospitalized for the first time ever and she received a gift while she was at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital. The gift and the volunteers that came in to play board games with her truly made her day. It’s the little things that brighten a child’s day when they’re in the hospital. We only spent 1 night there, I cannot even imagine what it’s like for the families that spend countless nights in the hospital. Giving back to the hospital means more to us than ever. We’ve donated the toys to Nicklaus for several years now, but this year it’s extra special to us. I am so proud of my daughter and niece to see them embracing acts of kindness and finding joy in helping others.
