Yeah this was in the TTRPG of Pokemon that my group was playing, my character convinced the phantump(now named Willow) to join my team. Latter we meet the parents.

A lot of Pokedex entries are legit just old wives’ tales and superstition, far as I’m aware we’ve had nothing that really CONFIRMS that Phantumps are the spirits of children.
