@livjowen: This actually caught me by surprise! 🫢😅 I’ve heard that children under 3 don't understand negative sentences that use words like "don't" or "not" or "stop". I saw someone else test it out, so of course I had to try it! 😂 Maybe it's not so much about whether they can or can’t understand negative sentences... maybe it's more about being intentional in what we teach them, whether positive or negative. 🤔 I’ve always believed that positive behavior is encouraged by highlighting it with positive words. Rather than saying "Don’t hit them," I’d say, "Let’s be kind to them." But, idk. Maybe it doesnt matter so much in the end.
