@singlemomsaga: Here's what I've learned about being overweight vs in shape: People are going to have something negative to say regardless what you look like. So do what makes YOU feel good. If you rely on validation from others, you will be disappointed over and over again. Validate yourself. Thats where real growth lives. When I was overweight I was called fat, lazy and gross. I battled depression and doubted myself and my value. I had people not date me because of my size. As if that's all the value I had. I was passed over for promotions and people seemed to look past me. Until one day I had had enough. I went to therapy to fix the broken pieces of me. I soon learned what worth and value I really had. It changed my entire life. When I lost the weight, the same people that called me fat, lazy and gross now called me stuck up , a cheater and clueless. They judged the way I lost the weight. They said I cheated. I changed my lifestyle. Watched what foods I put into my body and worked out. I got skin removal surgery and somehow that was cheating. To them, I should have never been overweight in the first place. And that's when it hit me. Miserable people will never be happy for anyone because they can't even be happy for themselves. So stop trying to get the approval of people that don't know what the word means. Get your own approval. Make yourself happy. Don't be one of them. 🥰
