Every corporate job I had we had a 2 hour window to show up at work, you’d have to stay for 8 hours and that’s all that mattered

I hate how companies scold being a little late but never recognize when employees work late. Unless her being late is holding up a meeting, I don’t even know why we have start time.

I’m sympathetic to the boss this time. Occasionally late is one thing. Being late regularly for the same reason when it’s been expressed as an issue. Traffic is not a surprise.

I agree with the manager, she doesn't decide her start time, the manager does & if it's a regular occurrence it's on her to sort it. I get to work 30minutes early because I know how bad traffic is.

I disagree with you guys on this one consistent lateness is an issue it doesn't matter if she's staying late if she doesn't work on a flexitime contract you're contracted to start at 9 you are there at 9
