I worked at discount tire for 3 years, it’s my understanding that the most important tires are both rears. If you hydro plane, regardless of the drivetrain, the rears catch traction first.

I have a 2016 equinox and had to have my water pump fixed and a couple places wouldn't fix it because they needed a special tool so I had to go to the dealership and pay $1,200 just for it.
