The harness while a good Y front type, is too small, there should be free range of movement under his arms, but not further than the last rib/soft part, so not rubbing under his arms

Ppl don’t talk enough about how important it is to give new pets a decompression time. It can take weeks/months before he’s comfortable enough to really show his personality.

I definitely think his harness is upside down dw it happens I did that for a while till I did it the other way and it stopped lifting up off his back and fit properly

Tara!! He needs a collar even with a harness, if hes slips out of the harness he has no tags on🥺 rescue dogs can get skiddish sometimes i would add an airtag like you do for the kitties too🥰

when we adopted our dog, the shelter told us it takes shelter dogs 3 weeks to fully decompress and about 3 months til they realize that’s their forever home.

I cried when I took my rescue pup in to be spayed bc I was afraid she thought I was returning her to the shelter 😫😭 and I cried when I picked her up bc I just lover her so much 💖
