I had this mom ask me to change seats with her cuz she thought she reserved seats next to each other but didn't, and she offered me $50 to switch. Normalize paying ppl for the inconvenience

I just had people move out of our plane seats and even the flight attendant was mad at me for breaking up a family. she even skipped my drink service and I paid extra for that seat

Add the whole total of your flight (seat, suitcases, etc), add a 0 to this total. That's how much you switch for.

as a parent I would not expect ANYONE to make adjustments for me to sit with family. if I book and I can't find seats together, my husband or I would sit in the away seat. would we ask for switch, probably but no is no and we would respect that. other than that book it all together as a family.

I paid for a window seat and three families with kids got on the plane all in middle seats I did not move I said sorry I paid extra for this seat I'm not moving. the kid mom was beside me and the uncle was behind us. she was upset and yelling at the flight attendant but you need to plan ahead I booked my seat 24 hours early and woke up to book my seat.

One time, due to a last minute flight change. I had middle seat row 14, daughter had window seat row 13. Asked person next to me if she'd be willing to trade window seats with my daughter. (1)
