my cat did that too for the short time we had adopted him, he ended up having a virus of some sort and thats why he was coughing/sneezing this way. it wasn't a hairball...Hopefully you're cat is fine

the way she’s lapping her tongue after the coughs does indicate it is indeed a hairball :) sort of like a gag. asthma in cats looks like reversed sneezing, happens in quick succession, and wheezy
