My dealership does “idiag” that pays us up to .5 that is free to the customer to look into a concern, if real diag is required we add a rec. basically gives a confirmation of concern with a direction

My favorite is when the ticket has been written and the customer signs and then says, oh BTW, it’s making a noise when I turn left; “could you look into that for me?”

I'm not flat rate but here is the thing. the shop i work at we get it all the time and then ppl get mad cuz it goes into the next appointment time cuz we are looking into all of this stuff
