Same in Sweden. I LOVE one of the reasons for it, that no matter what parents think or believe, the children have the RIGHT to learn everything in the curriculum, no matter what the parents think

Hated being homeschooled. I’ve seen so many parents use it just to teach kids about their religion and nothing else and keep the kids from socializing

Private schools are illegal in Finland. So the rich kids go to school with poor kids and like in Germany they get to know each other which is an education and itself. That’s very valuable.👍🏻

Homeschooling is illegal in Greece too. Mainly for the same reasons. Plus, you are obligated to finish the required 11 year program. The last 3 years (high school) is optional.

In the US it is and I was bullied constantly so if it wasn’t for homeschooling I wouldn’t have finished school I’d have dropped out

I know families in Belgium and Switzerland who have moved abroad because of this rule. they have high risk children and uncooperative schools.

In Arizona in the US, there are zero required qualifications for homeschooling. You have to send a letter to the school to tell them you're withdrawing, and that's it.
