Lost my dad 1/3/24…my denial is SO REAL. In my mind, I still feel like I can pick up the phone and call him. If I allow myself to accept it, I will forever be broken, and I don’t want that for myself.

7 months, im not even sad anymore. Because my body keeps telling me hes alive. I saw him. I know what he did to himself. I saw the bullet wound. I saw him pale cold and puffy. But i still believe he’s coming back. He was my step father, now i have no father at all. I miss him sm. I miss everything even when he I would make fun of me in silly ways rather him be alive and do that. Then for him to be in an urn the 18th was his birthday. I almost puked all day, I over ate everything. We made his favorite dinner but it didn’t feel the same without his love mixed into it.

He died three days after my birthday. I didn’t get to hang out with him the last time I saw him, but I did give him an extra hug because I felt emotional for some reason, I mean now I know why.
