Let’s set them up to rescue more drafts in need 🙏 “If love could have saved you, you would have live forever” “We were too late. He was neglected too severely - his injury was beyond repair. Radiographs showed he had a fractured coffin bone from extensive whiteline. This was preventable. The most heart shattering part. This was preventable. The grandest gesture of love we had was to say goodbye. We wanted to fight for him so bad. Our hearts are broken. Goliath was only 5 years old. So much life and love would have been ahead of him. We are angry. We are devastated. We are appalled. This wasn’t fair. And while we are all of those things, we are also taking our grief and moving it into inspired action. We still plan to expand our property and build out pastures dedicated for drafts like Goliath. Every draft we save onward will be in honor of him and his time cut far too short.
