Every woman looking to increase protein intake needs to watch this video.  More protein = more lean muscle mass = burn fat faster + look better and live healthier, longer.  I get asked for ways to increase protein in meals all the time. The bottom line is that the easiest way to do this is with animal proteins like red and white meat, dairy, eggs and seafood. Not only do they have higher bioavailable protein ratios than plant foods, they are incredibly micro-nutrient dense with essential vitamins and minerals.  Basing your meals around animal protein is a great starting point, and, here are three simple plant protein ‘toppers’ you can use (maybe all three together!) to put into the top of a meal, the side, or as a quick snack.  First I have cubed tofu I’ve marinated in minced garlic (from a jar), onion powder, tamari sauce (wheat free soy sauce) and sesame oil.  Next I have pumpkin and sesame seeds mixed with tamari (wheat free soy sauce) and some honey (or monk fruit sweetener, as I have used)  Then I have chickpeas tossed with cajun spices, onion powder, olive oil and salt. You ca easily roast all of these separately in the air fryer, as I did with the chickpeas, or bake on trays in the oven at 180C (320F), making sure not to let the seeds burn. Cool and store in the fridge for the week and top your meals with added protein!
