My mom went to the doctor for irregular bleeding between periods and pain, he told her is normal, she kept insisting and went again after few weeks, it turned out she had cervical cancer stage 2

I was told that I wasn’t a candidate for endometriosis treatment because I don’t intend on having children. It’s outrageous.

I bled for nearly 3 months in so much pain, went to GP and A&E 3 times, all said periods. Weren’t until 4th time where they decided to listen and do tests- now diagnosed with polycystic ovaries 😡

8 months ago a male doctor told me “some women had low pain threshold” after I had had a baby. I had early sepsis and bleeding internally after a CT scan was reported inaccurately.

Took me 9 years to get an endo diagnosis, even had a female doctor LAUGHING at me because I was ‘too young’ to have it… got diagnosed 6 months later and its on 4 organs

I think a big part of the issue is also how we are taught about periods. We are simply told pain is normal, that we are supposed to feel rubbish that week, etc. Nobody talks about what level of...

My doctor is still trying to tell me it’s normal and I keep telling him I shouldn’t be vomiting from the pain and crying in pain from how bad the cramps are and how they spread to my whole body

I'm a man but I grew up and my mom has endometriosis and polycystic ovaries and growing up I have vivid memories of her almost agonizing in bed for more than a week, and people would tell her it was nothing, that it was just normal. It's so sad to see how little people care about women in general

I’ve been told since I was 14 the doctors think I have endo. I’m now 24 STILL waiting for surgery to confirm it. I can’t even get any support until it’s diagnosed either.
