It gets me mad when I say no to him to a certain toy/snack he wants and here comes who ever is around us and gives it to him just bc of the tantrum. like i clearly said no and they just make it worse

I don’t give in to the tantrum but I do console their emotions. The emotions are valid, its okay to be disappointed or upset but that doesn’t mean the outcome changes. This approach supresses emotions

My son does so much better when I hug him when he’s mad or upset. The pressure from the hug allows him to regulate himself and we do talk about how he’s allowed to be mad but he’s not allowed to hit..

I’ve never experienced a tantrum that’s over the top, I get the little whining. like I’m always shocked when I see it from other kids. It’s lack of discipline

I don’t know how I feel about the “just changing your mind on a whim” our kids look forward to the movie. I 100% agree with the sentiment. But just saying no because you feel like it? Idk.
