Okay sweetie, we have them at home 🥰 🧀 Full recipe 👇🏻 Ingredients: -2 cups flour (I used all purpose einkorn flour this time and it worked out great, but if all you have is regular flour that will work just as well!) -16 tablespoons butter, cold and cubed -16 oz cheddar cheese, shredded -Garlic powder, measured to taste, I probably did 2 tsp -1.5 tsp salt, and then some for sprinkling before baking -Ice water, I ended up doing 1/4 cup, but you may need more or less depending on how your dough is coming together Method: 1. In a food processor, pulse all your ingredients together except your ice water. Your dough should form a crumbly texture 2. Add in your iced water, little by little, until your dough starts to form larger balls. You are looking for a consistency similar to playdough. 3.Turn your dough out onto a floured surface and form into a ball. Flatten your ball into a disc and wrap in plastic wrap. Place this in the fridge for at least 25 minutes but it can be kept in the refrigerator for a few hours 4 Preheat your oven to 350 5. Remove your dough from the refrigerator, unwrap it, and roll it out until it’s 1/8” thick. 6. To create your crackers, cut the very edges of your dough so it creates a perfect rectangle and cut your sheet into a grid pattern so you have lots of little square crackers. Add these to a parchment paper lined baking sheet and poke a hole in the center of each one with a toothpick or a chopstick (I used a chopstick). Sprinkle a little salt on the top before baking. 7. Bake in your preheated oven for 15-25 minutes, making sure to watch them so they do not get too crispy. You are looking for them to get slightly crispy on the edges. 8. Allow your crackers to cook COMPLETELY before transferring to a storage container. This is crucial to maintain the crispiness. Store in your container for up to 2 weeks (although mine have never lasted that long.) Let me know if you guys try this one and what you think :) #homesteadmama #homemaker #homecooking #foodfromscratch #cooking
