of course short rests are better..in studies..an extra centimetre was gained with longer rests..hardly worth it..longer rests are for strength

for strength u need to rest from 2 to 5 mins, for muscle hypertrophy u need to rest from 60 to 90 seconds, endurance like 20 to 45 seconds
