korean corn dogs . hot dog and cheese covered in batter, and coated with panko/ potatoes/ ramen. been craving these, and finally got round to making some…. craving satisfied🤤 it’s salty and sweet and crunchy and so so gooddd!  ~recipe from “Delicious day- Famous korean cheese corn dog recipe” on youtube✨ Ingredients— Dough: 225g bread flour 75g plain flour  45g granulated sugar 4g salt 150ml warm water + 7g instant dried yeast 1 large egg Filling: Skewers Frankfurters  Block of cheese Topping: Panko Medium potato + cornstarch Instant ramen   Recipe— 1. Combine all dry dough ingredients and then add in all wet dough ingredients. Mix and knead until dough forms, cover then leave to proof for 1.5hrs. 2. While proofing, prepare filling. In saucepan of boiling water, simmer frankfurters for 4mins and cool. Then cut blocks of cheese same size as frankfurters. Skewer frankfurters +/- cheese on skewer sticks. 3. Prepare topping. Cut potato in small cubes and boil for 3mins, leave to cool and then coat in cornstarch. With the instant ramen, break into little pieces.  4. After dough is proofed, cover each skewer in dough (use wet hands to shape and get rid of excess dough). 5. Then cover each skewer with either just plain panko; or potato pieces then panko; or ramen pieces then panko. 6. Fry on medium heat for 7-10mins until golden brown. 7. Once cooked, sprinkle sugar on each corndog (or roll it in sugar), and have with your chosen condiments (used ketchup and mustard here). Enjoy✨ Notes: • mozzarella cheese is what’s normally used in korean corn dogs, but can never find blocks of mozzarella so used cheddar instead. so the cheese wasn’t stringy🥲 • the dough was enough to make 6 corndogs, but i did cover each skewer with quite a thick layer of dough (probs will cover a bit more thinly next time). • i found that the potato cubes didn’t stick to the dough as well, and some pieces fell off when frying. just try your best to make it stick😅 #koreancorndog #koreancorndogs #corndog #hotdog #cooking #food #foodstagram #streetfood
