That’s amazing he’s wearing SPF. I literally didn’t even wear moisturizer under my base until I was 25 lol

I'm 49 and I've never worn eyelashes. and I've never done my eyebrows. Idk if I ever want to wear eyelashes, I'd be afraid of poking my eye. and as for my brows, I never learned how to do them.

Let it all work out🤷🏼‍♀️ High school me would be horrified that I never hit a high jump PR in college. If I told 16 year old me that I had to wait 9 years to finally improve, she probably would have called it quits a while ago. I think that’s the beauty in this sport though. You can work so hard day in and day out, but the result is never guaranteed. You can give yourself the best chance possible, but at the end of the day it comes down to how disciplined you were in training, how well you take care of your body, how strong you are mentally, etc. The list could go on and on. There are so many factors to overall success. Nothing is guaranteed which is why it’s essential you fall in love with the process rather than obsessing over just the end result. Early on I used to base my self worth in how well I did at meets. That was it, the rest didn’t matter to me. And I can’t even begin to describe how toxic that was. It wasn’t until I started to love the daily process, doing all of the little things like drills, approaches, lifting, plyos, and more, that I truly started to see success and started feeling fulfilled. I had a really bad high jump day in my pentathlon 2 weeks before USA championships. In the past I probably would have had a meltdown, annoyed the heck out of my coach by freaking out and asking why I was so bad and just couldn’t get anything right. But this time around, as disappointed as I was about jumping poorly, I learned so much from the experience and knew exactly what I needed to fix. The next week I had a short approach practice PR, and the following week at USA champs, big PR. The things we learn about ourselves along the way are just as, if not more rewarding, than the outcome we’ve been working so hard for. Let it all work out 🙏🏼 #track #trackandfield #trackmeet #highjump #highjumper
