The Difference Between Stretching vs Training Mobility 👇 Think athlete vs bodybuilder. I know this phrase gets thrown around a lot, but hear me out! Stretching, while beneficial, is simply the lengthening of a muscle to improve the range of motion around a specific joint. When you think of stretching, you often picture holding a static position, feeling tension through one muscle. But here’s the problem—golf is nothing like that. In golf, we need to rotate, flex, extend, stabilize, lengthen, shorten, and coordinate all of this seamlessly. It’s a complex, dynamic sport that demands far more than just flexibility. If you don’t have strength and control over your movements, spending time in the same static stretches day after day is inefficient and won’t deliver results. Golf places unique demands on your body, so it’s time to train accordingly. Focus on mobility training that builds strength and control where it matters most! Some of my favourite mobility moves are: Advanced Pigeons 😳 Using some momentum to improve range of motion in a dynamic nature. Smokes those external hip rotators! Dynamic Stability 🔥 Performing active mobilisation on one leg encourages the separation of your upper and lower body. Also improves balance and coordination!
