You can use resources such as the onion growing map zone on Google to guide you in selecting the right type of onion for your garden/climate. 🧅Long-day onions require approximately 14 to 16 hours of daylight to produce bulbs, while short-day onions need 10-12 hours of daylight. Intermediate onions need 12-14 hours of daylight. 🧅Growing onions from seeds will result in the best and largest bulbs. My favorite part of growing Celery is getting to juice them daily. I do this every year for 30 days. It's just the thing that I enjoy doing for a short period to make my Celery worth growing 😆 Celery can take a long time to grow, especially from seeds. Start sowing seeds at least 8-12 weeks before transplanting them in the garden. It can also take up to 3 weeks to see them germinate. If this may make it easy for you, let them go to seed in your garden and then spread those seeds all over the raised garden bed. Then, collect those seedlings because they can grow like weeds. Trust me, I have done this. 😅 ✅ Celery needs at least 6 hours of sunlight to grow best. They can still grow if you are growing in part sun. Just at a slower pace ✅ Compost-rich, well-drained, and moist soil. ✅ Celery needs a lot of water, so keep the soil moist. If there is a lack of water, they will be bitter, and you will not enjoy the flavor. My irrigation system was from 💧@Garden In Minutes This system will keep your Celery thriving with a space planting guide and even watering. ✅ Celery likes cool temperatures like the 50s-70s.
