I actually got a basic jetblue seat and paid extra to select a seat which was additional 15$, then realized they refunded me with the airline fee credit for entire purchase which was $135

Upgrading to main cabin extra also works for American Airlines. So it’s not officially a class upgrade, but you do get extra benefits that are activated by this credit
