@nutriadv: Prince Rupert's Drop was created by dropping molten glass into cold water, the rapid cooling causes the exterior to solidify into a teardrop shape while the interior remains under high compressive stress. This structure gives the drop extraordinary strength—its bulbous end can withstand significant force or even hammer blows without breaking. However, the drop's tail is its Achilles' heel. Even a slight nick to the tail can cause the entire structure to explode into tiny fragments. This phenomenon occurs because the internal tension within the drop is released all at once, leading to its rapid disintegration. #hydraulicpress #fyp #blowup #xyzcba #scienceismagic #tiktok
