there is some words in brazilian portuguese like "eita". When we say "eita", everyone know the meaning, for example. Some expressions like "Dá seus pulos" it's a vibe.

Isn’t longing or yearning a pretty accurate translation though? I understand that as a native speaker the depth associated is different but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist.

these are called lexicon gaps! it's also easier for me to be emotional outside of English and I was raised bilingual. it frustrated me so much I learned about this as a kid lol

Absolutely. We have many unique ways of describing things. During my nine years in the US, I also learned ways to describe things in English that I can’t just translate into Portuguese.
