Try Invercargill/Southland. Our days are very “short” compared to thiers. I visited in December last year and it doesn’t get really dark until 11pm and the sun “sets” after 9.40pm!

you know it's daylight saving times, so it's normal that it's still bright outside at 8pm, don't know other cities in nz, but at palmy, the sky will totally dark at around 9-9:15pm
