This is only true for a few players . Some pay all up front plus ad ons . Some are structured payments . Some are weird payments .

It’s not that simple. You need to also factor in how much money it costs a club to “make” a pro player from their academy. Wages/coaches/premises/any other costs for their development over 10+ years.
