Granny’s home remedy for pain relief: Ingredients: One (1) 12oz box of golden raisins = 2 cups 3/4 Cup Gin Instructions: Add both to an air tight container of your choice (Tupperware, bowl with lid, plastic baggie, mason jar - whatever your prefer.) Mix to combine. Cover and set aside for 1-2 days, mixing a few times each day. Eat nine (9) raisins a day to relieve pain Disclaimer: I am not a doctor or pretending to be one, I am simply sharing my Granny’s home remedy for pain relief that she used to alleviate her arthritis pain and that I use to relieve my multiple sclerosis pain. I will not answer any medical related questions. Examples are: 1.”I have a sulfur allergy. Can I use this remedy?” 2. “I’m a recovering alcoholic. Can I use this remedy?” 3. “My medication or my doctor says not to consume alcohol. Can I use this remedy?” These kinds of questions need to be directed to a medical professional. Please consult with your doctor. Answers to FAQ & Comments: “I wouldn’t feel pain if I were drunk!” or “Do you feel buzzed?” - NO. You don’t get drunk or feel buzzed from eating 9 gin-soaked raisins a day. 9 raisins = 3/4 teaspoon and the majority of that is raisin. The amount of a alcohol you consume is extremely small. “You need to store them in a glass container!!!” - You do you. I will do me. We don’t tell people what to do. As stated in the instructions, use whatever container you prefer. “Why 9 raisins?” - I am not sure why 9 is the magic number, but if you research the remedy you will see that 9 is magic number. “How long before they are ready to eat?” - I let mine sit 2-3 days to absorb as much liquid as possible before eating. “What do I do with the leftover liquid?” - Personally, I leave what little liquid is left in mine. You can strain yours if you want to. “How long before it starts to work?” - I notice results within 1-2 days. “What time of day should I take them?” - Whatever works best for you. Sometimes I take them in the morning. Other times I take them at night. “Do I eat them all at once or spread them out throughout the day?” - All at once. “Do I chew them or swallow like a pill?” - Personally, I chew my food. “Will this work for my (fill in the blank) pain?” Some people swear by this remedy. Other’s don’t get any relief. You would have to try it to see if it works. “How long is the mixture good for?” This remedy is shelf stable, meaning it won’t go bad. The raisins will oxidize and darken. They are still good to eat. They do not need to be refrigerated, though some people do. Some people even put them in the freezer. You do whatever works best for you. “Does it have to be golden raisins?” - Yes, it has to be golden raisins because the sulfer dioxide they use in the drying process is the anti-inflammatory agent. “Does it have to be gin?” - Yes, it has to be gin because of gin is made with juniper berries and the juniper berries are an anti-inflammatory agent. “I don’t like raisins,” “I don’t like gin,” “I don’t eat raisins,” “I don’t consume alcohol,” “Can I substitute (raisins or gin) for (fill int he blank)?” - Not for this particular remedy. It is the combination of sulfer dioxide in the golden raisins and the juniper berries from the gin that makes this remedy work. “Can I just drink a shot and eat raisins?” - If you are altering the recipe, then we are no longer talking about the remedy that I am sharing. So, if this is not for you feel free to look into other homeopathic remedies. “What do they taste like?” - They taste like gin soaked raisins. “What kind of pain do you have?” - I have minor aches and pains in my legs from my multiple sclerosis as well as mild to severe pain in my fingertips. “Does this work on nerve pain?” - For me, no. #pain #chronicpain #chronicpainwarrior #chronicpainlife #painrelief #chronicpainrelief #arthritis #arthritisrelief #mswarrior #fyp
