I believe you can take a month off of paying off debt (just pay the minimums) to buy gifts in cash. Completely doable and reasonable

I ageee 100 percent. Debt or not I don’t buy adults gifts. And I don’t want gifts. Most of the gifts I receive I really don’t want. I like to treat myself each year and buy something that I want.

In my family adults are expected to buy adults gifts. My parents are well off and spend $1000/adult kid + $500/ spouse. I’ve stacked up cc debt every year trying to keep up with the expectations

I agree and it's out of control. Also I don't like getting gifts I don't need or can use. I feel bad so save your money and just bring snacks to the party!
