dental assistant here. read out loud to yourself sing in the car. your tongue will adjust fast. the more u use it the quicker. don't avoid talking.

Look into myofunctional therapy ..it's like speech therapy. Most insurance covers it. I definitely will need a tongue crib. I'm more scared for the pain than the actual lisp

Definitely look into speech therapyy after to prevent the tongue thrusting and lisping when it’s removed or you will just cause the teeth to move again

Definitely stick with the TX! I had open bite corrective jaw surgery and it completely changed my life! It completely transformed my smile and speech. I also work in the dental field now 😊
