Truth this was standard or people were starving...not sure if people realize how bad the great depression got... people ate people it was that bad...at 52 I can and dehydrate and freeze veges etc before they go bad...and I live in the hood/ghetto in a city...and its saved me starving more then once...so dont ever let anyone tell you its silly... because it's not... blessings to your family ❤️

My grandparents owned a large dairy farm. My grandmother would can, everything! Her stockpile was amazing and as a kid, I didn’t appreciate her hard work and dedication to canning foods.
