It’s always interesting to try out new trends and then adapt them in a way that feels more elevated and plated. For instance, I saw these viral pink cinnamon rolls—and to be honest, I wasn’t really convinced. But then I thought the concept itself could actually be fun to explore. So, we made a pink fluffy brioche with a jammy, almost doughnut-like texture. The strawberry-rhubarb sauce added a fresh, tangy contrast, the vanilla frosting brought a custard-like richness, and the Tonka white chocolate ice cream tied it all together. Funny enough, when we first put it all together, I was like, “Yeah… nah, this isn’t it” (last picture). It felt too big, too clunky—not quite right for a plated dessert. But instead of scrapping it completely, we gave it another shot, refined it, and ended up with this beautifully balanced 10/10 dessert. It was fun to make, visually stunning, and honestly, just really interestingly delicious. What do you think?
