I Moved Out!!! 🎉 After 12 years of living with my parents, I’ve officially moved out—just shy of my 10-year spinal cord injury anniversary. Let me tell you, this moment feels surreal. When I moved back in 2013, I was at rock bottom: broke, freshly bankrupt, and defeated after a failed relationship. I ran home with no plan, no direction, and no belief that I could figure it out. Last night, my partner said something that hit me like a truck: “You realize you could have done this the entire time, right?” Holy. Shit. He was right. 💥 I started reflecting on all the times I had no idea how I was going to figure things out—but somehow, I always did. 💡 When I became paralyzed, I didn’t know how I’d ever be independent again. I figured it out. 💡 When I went back to work, I wasn’t sure if I could sustain it. I figured it out. 💡 When I took a travel job and bought a business at the same time, it felt impossible. But guess what? I figured it out. And now, I’ve moved out of my parents’ house. I had the power to do this all along—it just took me this long to believe it. Every time life throws us a curveball, we adjust. We learn. We grow. We thrive. Change is GOOD because it forces us to figure things out. And the real win? The win is realizing the biggest thing holding us back isn’t the circumstances, the resources, or the timing—it’s the belief (or lack of) in ourselves. So here I am, embracing the change, proving to myself once again that I’m capable of so much more than I give myself credit for. And so are you. 💪 Change isn’t easy, but it’s ALWAYS worth it.
