I give myself permission to do a task poorly, and ironically it often helps me do it better

I don't have task paralysis but I do have 'hurry sickness' and I plan to use these tips! I'm sick of having a constant sense of urgency, even for the smallest tasks or fun activities 🙃

I’ve noticed something on TikTok. People who are talking about ADHD, to an ADHD audience, don’t realize that them taking 2 to 3 minutes to get to the point drives us crazy.

I’ve done this with a job hunt. I cared too much about response to my efforts. I just cut the cord and now just take action.

If the task is too big or complex you can't get started. Break the task down to smaller steps and in order. It often requires multiple decisions and money. I call them projects.

What if i am not paralyzed by small tasks but big ones like looking for a new job, moving house etc. is that related to adhd

so, tasks that we assign neutral importance are far easier to get done. that's actually super interesting! this really hit me, as someone who struggles massively with this. Thanks for sharing! ✨

Had to watch this again, it really blows my mind that something I struggle so (!) much with, genuinely can just be bypassed by putting the thoughts in a different light 💡😅 I've subconsciously picked up on this but you've put it into words! 👏👏

i just do a really bad first draft. once i see that it's not that hard, i'll just keep improving the draft until it's satisfactory. a lot easier than getting it right immediately

this is my gym problem. i want to get the most amount of optimal results with the least energy expended which then put an entire mountain of pressure. rather should just do it.
