I'm not sure how long you've been living in mexico, but during the "gazolinazos" people went nuts, I remember on 2017 school was canceled because people was so mad about gas prices that they started vandalizing stores, so I can assure you as a mexican that lived in mexico for a long time, mexican ppl definitely care about gas prices 👍🏻
