@askvinh: I've helped thousands of people improve their communication skills, and one of the biggest obstacles for them is the idea that changing the way you sound comes across as inauthentic. Please recognise that your voice right now is not your natural voice, it's your habitual voice. Meaning you're just used to one way of speaking. Don't be attached to a series of habits! When you change your voice, you're just learning how to use it in a different way. It's not inauthentic or fake, it's just unfamiliar! This simple reframe will help you approach learning communication skills and changing your voice with more ease! I like to use the metaphor that your voice is a piano with 88 keys. You've been playing with the same 5 keys all your life, and now you're learning how to play other keys on your piano. It's still your instrument! So how can it be NOT you?
Kinda take the banter out of a talk show… Dakota handles it perfectly

That wouldn’t make sense in the context of a late shown interview. Dakota handled it perfectly.

Or just remind the guy you’re speaking. I heard it’s a pretty effective technique

I do what you just described but after they have stopped talking I leave a few seconds looking at them straight faced then carry on. Seems to work

I find humor works best. Like “oh is it your turn to talk?! I’m about to start another sentence are you ready?” Just a big smile keep it light we’re all just talking and having a good time

problem is, the person interrupting will just keep going and never stop, just keep talking over you and then walk off (at least in a work context)

I'm a quiet person and usually surrounded by some people who tend to dominate a conversation. I wonder how to interrupt without them feeling interrupted?
