In a social media post, the rebel leader said names of officials involved in torture would be published and repatriation sought for those who had fled to other countries. While Al-Jolani has met the outgoing prime minister to coordinate a transfer of power, the subject of migration policy has already arisen in #Europe. #Germany, home to the largest Syrian population outside the Middle East, says it will freeze asylum processing for Syrian citizens and is considering sending Syrian refugees back to their homeland, alongside #Austria, #Sweden and #Norway. Ongoing asylum procedures were also stopped in #Italy and #Britain. #AmnestyInternational is warning that it is too early and that Syria first needs to become politically stable. #france #US #Uk
