It just looks scary due to the red algae growth. I believe the exterior walls are now cleaned up. Most people stay there because it is cheap

Cai what hotel? It's Amber Court and I've stayed there before. Be preparred to hear footsteps outside your room but when you check it, no one is there. Fun? Yes. Scary? Also yes. 😅
