Those who don’t know, it’s a picker stick that strikes the shuttle, moving it across warp threads to weave fabric. It’s usually made of wood but modern looms no longer use picker sticks

I worked on automated equipment in a veneer mill in northern Wisconsin. We could make and dry the amount of veneer in this video in about 40 minutes with 3 people.
