A few years ago I realized how offensive it is to others when you share things God reveals to you. I hadn’t realized how often I said, “God told me to…” I spend a lot of time seeking the voice of Yahuah and his heart. In fasting his voice is loud. And when he speaks, I want to share it. It wasn’t until someone got upset with me and told me to stop saying God said. They said I can’t just say God said it in order to get my way. That was so far from the truth. I don’t take his voice lightly and I don’t make things up. Now I don’t always get it right for sure but I do know that God still speaks to his people personally and if we will just listen, we would be amazed at all he reveals. All of that to say this…stop discouraging people from hearing God’s voice. I would much rather someone walk around saying God told them many things than walk around denying that God still speaks to us. We must do better. While yes, people will take advantage and abuse anything, we must not lump everything in with those that abuse his voice. Let’s rather encourage others to have a personal, consistent communication with Yah and listen intently to his voice. And to be unashamed of proclaiming his truth. It’s okay to say God talks to you and reveals his truth to you. Don’t let offending people or the possibility of getting it wrong stop you. Be bold. Be courageous.
