When I reach for my sprayer👇🏽 Painting with a sprayer is so. much. faster than using a brush or a roller. If your paint surface is not completely flat or has any detailing, spraying is always the better option, if possible. It took me less than 8 minutes to paint each of two coats on this dresser with my sprayer and less than 5 more to clean the sprayer when I was finished. DM me if you want links to my sprayers (links earn commissions) #paintsprayer #paintedfurniture #flippingfurniture
Details HERE👇🏽 I fell in love with this chair the second I saw it. But the dark stain (see yesterday’s reel) and rusty red cushions had to go. So I decided to paint it! And it was probably the easiest, most beginner-friendly DIY I have ever done. How to paint fabric without it cracking or being brittle using latex paint. Spray it with a misting water bottle one section at a time and then paint that section (I used Nano White by SW because I had it leftover from my walls). Paint the 1st coat. Let it dry. don’t panic when it feels like sandpaper. SAND IT with a 220 grit sanding block and it will soften right up. REPEAT (mist, paint, sand) until it’s the color you want. Seal it with a water-based poly. NOTE paint it a darker color than the fabric if possible or you’ll need at least 3 coats of paint. I’m a glutton for punishment! #paintedfabric #fabricpainting #paintedfurnitureideas #paintedchair

I used to hate stripping furniture‼️ I would be left with a mess that was more work than before I started. Then I figured out the best and safest strippers and paired them with the right tools, and stripping both paint and stain is now pretty darn easy. STEPS 1. Brush on a liberal amount of stripper to cover the entire surface (DM me for the link and discount code). 2. After 1-2 hours, lightly scratch it with your nail to see if it is ready to remove 3. Scrape flat surfaces with stripping shovel 4. Spray with finish cleaner (DM me for the link and discount code) and remove residue with 0000 steel wool 5. Dip 0000 steel wool in soapy water and wipe clean 6. Wipe with rag 7. For the curved surfaces, I sprayed the finish cleaner then scrubbed with a wire brush and 0000 steel wool. 8. Dip 0000 steel wool in soapy water and scrub again. Wipe dry with a rag. FAQs 1. Yes, this works on stain/varnish too 2. Yes, the stripper is non-hazardous and eco-friendly 3. I would not do it in the hot sun. You don’t want it to dry.
Details👇🏽 This faux-bamboo dresser desperately needed to be repainted‼️ I knew wanted to go with a bright, bold color, but I couldn’t decide what color to paint it. I needed to see it! #sponsored So I used @bristlesai to visualize my options and ultimately chose PINK! STEPS (DM me if you need links) 1. Scuff sand with my orbital sander and then my surf prep for the curved legs and faux-bamboo. 2. Prime 3. Paint in a high gloss (color “hot lips”) using my paint sprayer 4. Sealed 5. Added hardware #paintedfurniture #fauxbamboo #paintitpink #dressermakeover
